The first online business training library for independent business owners,
community organizations, and business associations
Destination University® is a members-only, online training network where independent business owners, entrepreneurs, and business leaders can access the newest information to help grow their businesses.
Destination University® was created in 2006 by The Schallert Group when they were asked by the Kansas Main Street Program and Main Street New Jersey to create an affordable online training program that could reach thousands of independent business owners in multiple downtowns and rural communities at the same time.
Destination University® (DU), started by first looking at how universities recorded and shared their classes. From there, The Schallert Group invested in the same leading-edge technology that is typically reserved for large corporations and major universities. By 2007, The Schallert Group had invested in rich media webcasting hardware, software, computer servers, cameras, microphones, and built the company’s own broadcast studio in Longmont, Colorado for the purpose of bringing online training for individual business owners and communities around the world.
At first, only Jon recorded his Destination Business webinars in DU, all focusing on helping businesses grow their sales, profits and customer traffic.
But DU has grown to much more. Business owners, business associations, and community organizations can now access over 150 exclusive online trainings, in 14 topic areas, conducted by over 50 business experts and world-class authors. Top business experts are interviewed monthly so DU members have new trainings every month, and have access to the latest in business trends to stay on top of your competitors.
Today, The Schallert Group remains the only small business consulting firm in North America with this rich media training technology and in 2012, was recognized with an international webcasting award for our online content delivery, beating out Northwestern University in the process.
